Animating all brand assets for Yourbana, the communication festival which turns Rome’s public transport into a visual and participatory experience. With a dynamic graphic language, the project invites citizens to share their vision of the urban movement and be part of the story of their city.
The ultimate goal of the project has been to develop a graphic identity and dynamic motion design that connect with the target’s visual language, merging contemporary aesthetics and citizen participation.
Based on the visual identity developed by Ang Studio® and BANILA Studio, we have defined the brand’s motion guidelines, building on the strategic aspects of the brand and connecting the movement to them (motion principles).
After animating key brand elements such as the logotype, text ins and outs or transitions, we’ve also produced communication campaigns for various channels, touchpoints and formats: one promotional piece on physical media and networks that calls for participation, and another one showcasing users’ selected stories, while creating an audiovisual mosaic of the urban life in Rome.
Urban posters, motion animations in stations and buses in Rome, pieces for social networks and being present on more than 2,000 digital screens throughout the city.
To complete the experience, the project also includes an interactive microsite (designed by BANILA Studio) that facilitates the participation of citizens with their videos.
